We kept seeing the same thing: great AI models held back by bad retrieval. Teams spent months fine-tuning only to realize the real problem was which code got sent to the model in the first place.
We asked a simple question: what if retrieval was perfect? Not approximate, not "good enough," but actually perfect. Every query returns exactly the right code, every time, no matter the language or codebase size.
That question became Optiq. We've been building retrieval algorithms and reranker models that go well beyond traditional semantic search. The result is a context engine with near-perfect accuracy across 12 languages with full AST parsing.
